Patriots Run - Cancelled

Below is Bill DeHaven's September 29th letter to Sponsors, Runners and Supporters:

Dear Friends,

It is with mixed emotions that I write today to inform you of a decision to cancel the Patriot’s Run this year. I have enclosed a check to reimburse you for your very generous donation.

As many of you know, Pat and I organize two 5K runs each year to raise money and awareness of the Veterans Association’s activities. Due to a family medical emergency, we are forced to cancel this fall’s Patriot’s Run. At this late moment, it is too difficult to find an alternate race director.

I hope that you know that it was a very painful decision for us to make. We will hold our Berwyn Victory Run in May 2009 and hope that we can count on your continued support. I intend to be in the best health with enthusiasm at full throttle.
